Airthings Corentium Home Radon Detector

We are in an old farmhouse remodel in Middleton, Idaho. I wanted to show you the importance of checking radon levels in basements or crawl spaces. Determining if you need to install a radon mitigation system is crucial. We use an Airthings Corentium Home radon detector for that.

HOW IT WORKS

If you look closely at the Airthings Corentium device, it displays the average radon levels in this home. The long-term average reading is 1.18. The short-term average for the past seven days is 1.51, and the one-day short-term average is 0.56. Yesterday, the level was only 0.56.

These readings tend to rise during the winter. I’ve seen them go as high as three, but they fluctuate, and the long-term average tends to decrease over time.
